Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. Hopefully, this has always been apparent during any visit to our office. It is paramount that when our patients receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable.
Dentistry on Carmel follows the infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We closely monitor new rulings and guidance of these agencies to ensure that our infection control standards are current.
In light of these recommendations, you will notice some changes at your next appointment. Much like the rest of the country we have begun to slowly and safely phase back into patient care to mitigate risks and protect the most vulnerable. Below are a few examples of the changes we have temporarily implemented to help protect our patients and team during these uncertain times.
Our office will communicate with you before your appointment to ask a few health screening questions. You will be asked those same questions again in the office.
We will ask all patients to utilize the hand sanitizer station when you enter the office. For your convenience, you will also find hand sanitizer throughout the office and at the check-out area.
Our waiting room will be closed, for the time being, to maintain adequate social distancing. We will ask that you call the office upon your arrival to ensure that we can immediately seat you for your appointment.
Unfortunately, only scheduled patients will be allowed into the treatment areas at this time. With the exception of patients who are minors, all friends and family should remain at home or in the car during the appointment. When treating a minor, we will allow one parent/guardian to accompany the patient inside the office.
Appointments will be managed to allow for adequate social distancing between patients. We ask for your understanding that our schedule may be less flexible as we are working to safely accommodate everyone.
We value your trust and loyalty in us. We also welcome any questions you may have about patient safety in our practice.
